ABOUT

I am an experienced designer with an interest in branding and human-centred design. After graduating from my Master of Arts degree in Graphic Design with Distinction as a mature student, I am interested in discussing design roles.

My background in design includes corporate, agency and freelance projects, with a history of leading print, interactive and digital design projects. I work with clients from concept, through to design, artworking, and implementation.

I have worked on nationwide and international marketing, advertising, product launch and image campaigns for global brands and companies, including BP, Shell, Bournemouth tourism awards and National Grid as well as a host of start-up and mid-size businesses. I have provided graphic design, web design and branding services for various clients in sectors including accountancy and tax, business and technology, media and PR, and tourism and hospitality.

I am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, HTML5, CSS, WordPress and a range of other design, video, web, wireframe, and multimedia software.

I also run a successful face painting business, attending events and festivals. I manage a small team of painters when needed and manage all the finances and administration involved with trading at events. Additionally, I run art workshops for children.

I am especially interested in human-centred design and during my Bachelor's degree I was shortlisted and commended by Creative Conscience and invited to talk at the Design Museum in London about a project on conscious consumption. Recently, whilst doing my Masters degree, I was approached by one of my Graphic Design tutors to work on a brief set by Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole council to tackle to underuse of green spaces as part of their Climate, Resource, and Sustainability pilot projects. At the end of July, I pitched my idea to them and was awarded initial funding of £1000 to bring my project to life.
